Burnside planting

A 20° morning. 250 plants to get in the ground. 35 eager volunteers.
Our first planting day had such a positive atmosphere! We transformed a bare mound of earth into an ecosystem that will host a variety of native birds in the future. It was heart-warming to see everyone gettting into it - the young and old, and everyone in between. We were so proud of what we achieved in just a couple of hours.
After our physical work, we came back to Aroha Kaikorai Valley HQ for some well-earned refreshments and friendly conversation. Thank you to everyone who came and made a contribution. We hope to see you again soon!
