Weed cleanup at 381 Kaikorai Valley Road, broom, gorse and tonnes of dumped rubbish!

Kaikorai Valley is home to many plant species and some really special areas where people have taken the time to plant trees and shrubs. Of special note there has been some great work done in Kaikorai Common at the head of the Valley where the Community garden is located. You can see a beautiful mix of natives, wetlands and fruit trees in what was once a pretty bleak piece of ground.

Other planting projects have been undertaken at Frasers Gully, behind Kenmure Playground and Townleys road through to Donald street along the Kaikorai Stream.
