A windy but enjoyable evening at the Urban Farm

We kicked off our monthly meetings for 2026 with a visit to the Kaikorai Valley College Urban Farm. The weather was sunny but the wind brought main-character energy! Nevertheless, we enjoyed seeing this hidden gem in Kaikorai Valley firsthand, and learnt a bit about some different AKV projects. We split into four groups and rotated round the sessions. Nicola taught us about the bees they have on the farm, Paul showed us how to get our rat traps ready for the year, Josh showed us the air quality monitor, and Beth took us for a session about birds.
