AKV welcomes Pedersen Read as a Silver Sponsor

AKV is proud to welcome local business Pedersen Read to the AKV sponsorship programme.

Like many volunteer groups, AKV struggles to find ongoing financial support. Many grants have strings attached, by giving limits on what the money can be used for, and only giving it for a short period. Pedersen Read wanted to support the incredible mahi AKV is doing - like our rubbish cleanups, predator trapping, community building, improving the stream health, and measuring the air quality.

Pedersen Read couldn't provide raw materials for trap building or monitoring the air quality, but they could give a financial contribution. They signed up to our sponsorship programme, and committed to giving financially over a three-year period, without having the money tied to a narrow field of work. This will allow AKV to be more fun and creative, and provide some stability over the long term.

Tony and the team at Pedersen Read came on board as a silver sponsor of AKV and we put a sticker to mark it on their window. We have a range of sponsorship packages available - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. One day you might see our sponsorship stickers throughout the Kaikorai catchment, as more aroha is given to our patch of Dunedin.
