End of year volunteer celebration
Despite the electric storm on Thursday, we had an enjoyable celebration for our December monthly meeting. We sat in small groups and listened to Paul give a run-down on AKV’s journey so far. It started with buying the Turboweb building full of rats, and went through to the dozens of us there together, working on AKV’s mission. Beth presented an ‘AKV wrapped’ for 2025, and showed that we caught 751 mammalian predators this year!
We learnt about ways to contribute in 2026 such as doing flyer drops, trap installations, coming to a rubbish cleanup, and helping to run a monthly meeting.
We then enjoyed having a relaxed evening of snacking and chatting. Thank you to everyone for your contributions this year. We look forward to collaborating with you to give Kaikorai Valley some aroha in 2026!
