Rubbish clean-up at Tilburn reserve
Meet by the clothing bin opposite Halfway Bush park, Ashmore St, Dunedin
Come along to our last rubbish cleanup for 2025! We’re going back to the Tilburn reserve because there is still so much rubbish to remove there. We have a new AKV volunteer, Duane Donovan who will be helping us run this event.
We’ll meet on Ashmore St, opposite Halfway Bush Park and tidy up the recreation reserve. See the red crosses in the pictures below of where to meet. We’ll provide the gear but please wear old clothing and sturdy footwear, like tramping boots. You may wish to bring your own gardening gloves and/or water bottle. Please note there are no nearby toilets at the cleanup, but is one available at AKV headquarters.
After the cleanup, we’ll meet at AKV headquarters, 381 Kaikorai Valley Rd for morning tea.
Here’s the timeline for the event:
10am - briefing and strategy
10.10am - start cleanup
11.30am - bring rubbish back to drop zone
12pm - Cuppa tea at AKV HQ
