Can you help us install predator traps?

We’re looking for volunteers to help us install possum and rat traps in properties around Kaikorai Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to meet new people, get some fresh air, and to help our native wildlife.

As a Lead Trapper you will:

• Drive to the Aroha Kaikorai Valley shed to collect possum and rat traps

• Install traps in people's back yards, and around the grounds of local business, so that native wildlife can flourish

• Assess suitable locations for traps to be positioned

• Teach trap hosts how to manage their traps

• Be comfortable using a drill to attach traps to trees

• Mostly be working by yourself, but occasionally have another volunteer with you
